Downloading New Tweaks

Downloading New Tweaks is a great way to keep your software up-to-date with the latest configurations for your Windows Operating System.

There are two ways to Download New Tweaks

╖         The first way is to select the Live Update Tweaksà from the Update Menu.

╖         The second way is to click the áLive Update Button from the Home Screen in the Tweak Window.

╖         Both ways will open the Live Update Window.

╖         To start the download process, click the Proceed with Live Update Window.

During the Live Update Process, WinGuides Tweak Manger will "check off" the following steps as they are accomplished

╖         Connecting to WinGuides.comùthis step connects your application to the servers at WinGuides

╖         Authenticatingùthis checks your application license against the registration information you provided

╖         Downloading new categoriesùif there are any new Tweak Categories, these will be downloaded

╖         Downloading new iconsùnew icons for any new Tweak Categories are downloaded

╖         Downloading new tweaksùfor both new and existing Tweak Categories, Tweaks are downloaded

╖         Integrating New Tweaksùthe new Tweaks are integrated into your applicationÆs existing database of Tweaks.

╖         Completedùthe process is finished.

╖         If there are problems in the update process, WinGuides Tweak Manager will notify you through a pop-up message. Some of these messages include

╖         Internet connectionùif you do not have a current Internet connection or there are problems with the connection, WinGuides Tweak Manager will notify you that it cannot connect to the server

╖         Authenticatingùif your license has expired, WinGuides Tweak Manager will notify you that you need to upgrade. Click the Click Here to Renew Now! Button. This will launch the WinGuides Shopping Cart in your default browser.

╖         You can also have WinGuides Tweak Manager download and update Tweaks automatically. To set the preference to have Tweaks downloaded and updated upon application startup

╖         Select the Preferences Option from the Edit Menu. This will open the General Tab of the Tweak Manager Options Window

╖         There are two checkboxes to specify how WinGuides Tweak Manager will update Tweaks

o        Automatically check for Tweak Manager Updatesùselect this box to have WinGuides Tweak Manager check for new Tweaks upon application startup

o        Allow me to select which plug-ins to downloadùthis will require confirmation for each Tweak before it is downloaded.

Noteùin order to use the Update feature of WinGuides Tweak Manager, you must have an Internet Connection.
